A founding member San Francisco's heavy, bluesy, psychedelic group Blue Cheer, the 61-year-old's cause of death is unknown, but the site reports that Peterson passed away at 5 a.m. in Germany after reportedly battling cancer.

Thanks for the clips Steve! I an so happy it way such good weather for all there! I didn't make it down dut to emergency surgery. I was there for Summer of love in 1967 and 2007though. Best time ever!

It was a great day! Steve and I had a blast. Richard, I agree about the vibe - so many friendly people in SF. We've still got sunburned faces too. Wasn't the weather beautiful? I don't think we could have asked for a better day.

Weiiiil, I had a TOTAL blissed blast of a day! The weather was PERFECT! Still have a little red on my face ...(I like the sun more than the shade!). Most of the music was good, some was actually GREAT! Great times! Love all the female back up sing...
